GS Smith is based in Edinburgh, where he has run the event series CAESURA since 2011, focusing on experimental writing and sounds. In 2013, he organised the visual poetry exhibition Palimpcyst, featuring work from artists across Scotland. He works with text in various media, from creating word-filled egg-filled installations in abandoned vaults to noisy pseudo-lectures on abnormal psychology to poems and stories, which have been published in various magazines and performed across Scotland, London and Prague.
