maybe the piano
isn't feeling too
grand today a huge
cadenza is washing
away the edges
of a mountain
it's a very long coda
slowly becoming
a valley remembering
the heights slightly
chromatic through
slivers of light tone
rows toward a sunset
like a poached egg
on a light blue plate
the plate keeps on
denying it is the sky
